  • Larry Tauber, a co-founding partner of the firm, has practiced corporate, business, real estate, and commercial law for thirty years. A trusted advisor to executives, business owners, and in-house attorneys, Larry has business experience and perspective that have become a valuable resource for the many clients that have stayed with the firm over the long term.

    Larry has counseled numerous pharmaceutical and life sciences clients on licensing, strategic ventures, and clinical trial agreements. He has been a presenter for many years on licensing and pharmaceuticals at the American Conference Institute and at the Licensing Executives Society.

    Larry also heads the firm’s real estate practice, advising commercial property developers, managers, owners, and investors.

    Larry has also worked with numerous private equity and venture capital firms on fund formation, capital raises, financings, and buying and selling companies. His experience representing both investors and portfolio companies allows for a broad perspective in negotiating agreements to drive a client’s business goals.

    In the life settlements industry, Larry has represented rating agencies, financing firms, and life settlements funds on a range of structured finance and securities matters.

    Larry leads the team of CTSW business attorneys on matters spanning a range of practice areas and industries: corporate and commercial transactions, intellectual property, licensing, real estate, employment law, and life sciences. He works with transactional and litigation attorneys across the firm to strategize on clients’ business challenges and to deliver both practical and creative solutions that bring each client closer to its business goals.

    Earlier in his career, Larry worked at Gordon Hurwitz Butowsky Shalov Wein. He was also a principal in a publishing venture.

    Larry has been a contributor to the treatises Powell on Real Property and White on New York Corporations, as well as others on real estate, corporate governance, and business transactions. While at NYU Law School, Larry served as an editor of the Journal of International Law & Politics.

    Larry was included in the 2013-2018 editions of the Super Lawyers publication.
