CTSW achieved a significant victory for Stephen King’s former literary agent in a litigation brought by a lawyer who worked on Stephen King matters for the literary agency. The lawyer was terminated in 2012 and brought a breach of contract claim, asserting that he was entitled to commission payments on King’s works even after his representation was terminated. On summary judgment Justice Kornreich dismissed the plaintiff’s suit in its entirety, agreeing with CTSW's argument that there was no evidence of a contract entitling the attorney to more money. The CTSW team included partner Sari Kolatch and associate Jackson Davis.
