CTSW Advises Client on Purchase of Minor League Baseball Team

The Williamsport Crosscutters are in new hands. CTSW client Peter B. Freund, a minority owner of the New York Yankees and co-owner of the Charlestown RiverDogs, headed a group of investors to purchase the minor league baseball team. The team is a minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The deal is the latest in CTSW’s work for clients in the area of sports, including previous purchases and sales of, and service agreements with, professional teams and athletes. Fred Sanders, Adam Stein, Neil Novikoff, and Courtney Birnbaum worked on the deal.
