CTSW won the dismissal, with prejudice, of a False Claims Act case pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against a renowned interventionist radiologist.

The purported whistle-blower complaint alleged that the radiologist devised an illegal “self-referral” scheme to defraud Medicare and Medicaid, but District Judge Lorna G. Schofield granted CTSW's motion to dismiss on the basis that the complaint failed to make specific allegations concerning any such alleged scheme.

CTSW routinely represents medical professionals and offices in a wide range of matters including corporate and transactional matters, product development, sales of offices and practices, and disputes. Steve Wagner and Jackson Davis represented the radiologist in this case.
