It’s hard to miss One Madison, visible from a wide swath of Manhattan’s midtown, Flatiron, and downtown areas, the thin skyscraper at Madison Ave. and 23rd Street. The building is part-owned by CTSW client HFZ Capital Group. As reported by The New York Times, the building is back in business. Previously, CTSW’s Joe Vann, with Bob Boghosian and Andy Buck, developed a strategy for HFZ to acquire an interest out of Chapter 11. This led to a hotly contested battle with the development’s existing sponsor, and enabled HFZ to reach a favorable co-development deal with The Related Companies.
