CTSW and the New Real Estate Market – CTSW and its clients continue to be active in one of the hottest areas of the rising real estate market – the purchase and restructuring of distressed residential apartment complexes. The firm recently completed the buyout of a minority partner in a New York City residential project capping the client’s acquisition of a discounted purchase of the mortgage note and acquisition of the project in foreclosure. This is but one of several transactions completed by CTSW within the past eighteen months as over-leveraged fully rented complexes in New York City, Florida, and other states have been acquired and restructured and refinanced to provide healthy returns to investors.
