  • David Rybak is an associate in CTSW’s litigation department, where he focuses on complex commercial litigation in both state and in federal court. David believes in taking a commercial, practical, and efficient approach to resolving his clients’ disputes. Working with clients to help them understand the business implications of legal issues and the procedural aspects of their case, David has advised businesses based both in the United States and abroad. He has experience representing clients in disputes across a variety of industries, including life sciences, technology, financial services, construction, manufacturing, private equity, and real estate.

    David graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors). He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he received the Laskin Prize in Constitutional Law and helped found a non-profit organization aimed at reducing the professional barriers faced by attorneys who are the first member of their family to attend university.

    Prior to joining CTSW, David worked as an antitrust associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and Goodwin Proctor LLP. David gained extensive litigation experience working on complex antitrust lawsuits including but not limited to criminal cartel investigations, civil price-fixing conspiracies, and monopolization claims, as well as commercial disputes between rivals or suppliers and distributors. In addition to his antitrust litigation experience, David has extensive experience representing clients in connection with antitrust regulatory clearance and approval of mergers and acquisitions, and has represented clients in connection with investigations by the United States Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.
