Assisting and advising business executives on compensation and severance packages is a longtime practice area of the firm. Most recently, in a complex matter, CTSW advised a key executive on a delicate and complicated separation from a family run business structured as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). As part of the separation, the executive maintained his ownership position in the company, his current annual compensation for an extended period, and his rights to payments made on ESOP-related notes from the company.
