CTSW successfully defended its clients, a health insurance brokerage firm, and its principal and attorney, in a putative class action alleging violations of the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and state fraud claims. CTSW filed motions to dismiss all of its clients from the case.

Judge Vincent L. Briccetti adopted CTSW’s arguments and found that the plaintiffs failed to allege sufficiently that CTSW’s clients violated RICO or committed any fraudulent acts, and dismissed them from the action. The case was handled by partners Stephen Wagner and Sari Kolatch, and associate Jackson Davis.
