Courtney is a senior associate in our corporate department, advising business and individual clients on contract, transactional and day-to-day business matters. She brings a business-oriented perspective to her work, informed by both her legal experience and her M.B.A. in finance and management. She assists business executives with keeping policies, documentation, and legal structures in order so later problems are minimized or prevented. Courtney advises on start-up and governance matters, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, real estate, and intellectual property.
Courtney also has significant experience advising jewelry industry clients on some of their most important business matters, including consignment, financing, and intellectual property. She has advises on the sale and consignment of jewelry and stones to U.S. and Canadian retailers. In the area of intellectual property and licensing, she advises on trademark and copyright quality controls for designs, images, products, and services.
Earlier in her career, Courtney was a corporate associate at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Manhattan Theater Source, a performing arts organization for which she still volunteers.
