Leo L. Esses has been with CTSW since its inception in January 2000. A member of the litigation team with transactional knowledge and experience, Leo is also a trusted day-to-day advisor to client executives in their business affairs. He regularly guides clients by reviewing contracts, helping them close deals, anticipating challenges, dealing with insurance and employment matters, as well as helping companies take proactive steps to minimize the risks of later problems.
In the area of complex business litigation, Leo represents clients in finance, manufacturing, retail, insurance, construction, real estate and aviation. Leo has litigated cases involving disputes relating to securities, contracts, business torts, federal and state employment (Fair Labor Standards Act), discrimination, trademark, and unfair trade practice and false advertising. Leo appears on behalf of clients in federal, bankruptcy, and state courts throughout the country, as well as before various administrative tribunals and agencies, including various state Attorneys General, the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Leo also represents some of the largest liquidation companies in the country. Leo counsels both liquidation companies and companies in distress on navigating the complex state, county, and city laws related to going out of business, store-closing and bankruptcy sales.

When not helping his clients, Leo is helping his community as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician.
