Jay Spievack, co-chair of CTSW’s litigation department, has practiced complex commercial litigation since 1987, and spent his first thirteen years practicing in two large New York City firms. Mr. Spievack has appeared in a variety of proceedings throughout the country. He focuses his litigation practice in six distinct areas: complex commercial disputes, insurance coverage litigation, pharmaceutical related disputes, securities, aviation and real estate-related litigation. Jay has represented companies involved in multi-million dollar litigations predicated upon contract breaches, insurance disputes, real estate disputes, securities fraud disputes, and complex aviation disputes. He is active in the international arena, having been called upon by his clients to help litigate and to protect their interests in Europe and Asia. He also has served as outside general counsel to several middle-tier companies engaged in the fields of scrap recycling and computer hardware distribution. Prior to joining CTSW, Jay was a litigation partner at Kronish Lieb Hellman LLP.
